GREENSBORO – Tourism generates an estimated $18 billion a year for North Carolina’s economy. Representatives from the state commerce department’s division of tourism were in Greensboro, Thursday to help owners of local hotels, restaurants and attractions maximize their tourism potential.

The tourism resource assistance center was a one-stop source of information on how to partner with the division to attract more visitors and earn more of the tourism dollar.

“Everyone in the state that’s a tourism business gets a free listing on visitnc.com, which is our Internet site but you can also do cooperative advertising with us,” said Wit Tuttell, director of tourism marketing.
