AshevilleLiveCam is proud to welcome back our very own SkyCam! It’s been a long, long time since our rooftop friend has seen action, but we’re working hard to ensure that it stays up and running this time. Just in time for Bele Chere 2010, the SkyCam has been repaired, placed back on the roof and reconfigured to show you the best HD views of Asheville!

Unfortunately, we’re not quite done. While the hardware is in place, the software is not. Currently, what you see above is provided by the built-in server on the camera, which doesn’t support a whole lot of concurrent connections. We’re working hard to get it configured just like the rest of our cameras, so that it can serve out an unlimited number of connections, but for right now it remains a little gimped. If you don’t see the video above, then a) you need to install Quicktime, or b) we’re currently above the max number of connections, so try back in a little while.
