For photos of blue swimsuit-clad models doing water ballet and shots of some of the worlds coolest art (and local artists hanging out with it), be extra sure to check out http://www.mountainx.com this week. Dancer Janice Lancaster will perform as part of freedom of information 2008. Satellite Gallery owner Bill Thompson took a crew of Ashevilles finest down to Miami this year. While the name brings to mind the Oscar Wilde quip, Work is the curse of the drinking class, theres much more to Burgins brand of protest-oriented folk rock than mere boozy revelry. Burgins easygoing style is a draw in itself. At a recent Freds Speakeasy show, it was almost 11 p.m. and band members were still adjusting and tuning before they took the plunge into their first number.
